In order to continue its goal to provide new opportunities to future students and updated state-of-the-art online programs, Norwich University is launching seven new online programs throughout 2020. The new year will bring three new bachelor’s programs: business administration, computer science and information systems, and data analytics, and four new master’s programs: accounting, business analytics, information systems, and nurse practitioner.
New Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs
Online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
Deep dive into topics such as economics, finance, and accounting with Norwich’s online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In order to help build students’ ethics and leadership skills, the business administration program will use a blend of theoretical and experiential-based knowledge to apply the underlying principles of the discipline to a range of workplace environments.
The business administration curriculum consists of a core curriculum with a credit research-based capstone project relative to the student’s concentration of choice. The concentrations will include leadership studies, human resources management, cyber security management, and procurement and contract management. After the launch of the program, additional concentrations will be added, which include:

- Supply Chain & Logistics
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is the first new program to launch in 2020 with the first courses set to start in May.
Online Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems
Become an expert in the ever growing field of computer science and information systems. Norwich’s in-depth computer science and information systems program combines a thorough grounding in the mathematical and logical foundations of computer science with coursework in programming, system design, software engineering, and networking.
The program can help improve student’s leadership skills and understanding of underlying principles of the field through application of theoretical knowledge to real-world situations. The program is set to launch mid to late 2020.
Online Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics
It is not surprising that organizations in all sectors of the economy are placing increasing importance on the analysis of raw data for decision-making and the improvement of business processes and systems. Be a leader in a field with exponential growth through Norwich’s online Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics program.
The core curriculum combines mathematical principles underlying data science with an opportunity to apply the principles learned in a number of different sectors so that students can develop the necessary skills in mathematics, computer science, critical thinking, and problem-solving to conduct data analysis to a range of workplace environments.
New Online Master’s Degree Programs
Online Master of Science in Accounting
Enhance your written communication, research, and complex problem-solving skills within the accounting field. Designed to fulfill the 150-hour requirement for the Uniform CPA Examination, Norwich’s online Master of Science in Accounting degree provides students with a wide knowledge base across the accounting field, including knowledge in international accounting, non-profit/government accounting, federal taxation, and contemporary topics.
Norwich’s online Master of Science in Accounting degree is an opportunity for those in the field to expand their knowledge and careers, but it is also an opportunity for students of different backgrounds to transfer their careers as there will be two different program paths specifically designed based on the need, knowledge, and experience of the person enrolling into the program.
The program will also feature the forensic accounting concentration for those interested in a specific career path such as law enforcement or government service, but more concentrations will be added post program launch.
Online Master of Science in Business Analytics
Private businesses, non-profit entities, and government agencies are increasingly in need of professionals with advanced mathematical, statistical, and computational skills that can process, understand, and analyze vast amounts of data. Set to launch by September 2020, Norwich’s online Master of Science in Business Analytics program provides professionals with strong quantitative and data analysis training to help advance their careers into roles such as market research analysts, financial analysts, actuaries, mathematicians, and more.
Fine-tune your skills through the program’s coursework in quantitative modeling, operations management, data mining, big data, and network and infrastructure management. The program, which is designed in consultation with industry business leaders and expert faculty, can assist people in the business or mathematics fields advance their career or transfer into a new career.
Online Master of Science in Information Systems

Online Master of Science in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner
Nurse practitioners are quickly becoming the health partner of choice for millions of Americans. Become part of the solution to the current primary care shortage through Norwich’s online Master of Science in Nursing-Nurse Practitioner program, which is set to launch at the end of 2020. Norwich’s online nurse practitioner program offers three certificate paths – adult gerontology, family, and psychiatric mental health – that can position nurse practitioners as mentors and administrators to provide safe, effective, and efficient evidence-based care. Students complete the online Master of Science in Nursing program curriculum then move forward into the nurse practitioner program of choice.
Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
Through Norwich’s online Master of Science in Nursing-Nurse Practitioner certificate in Acute Care-Adult Gerontology program, nurses can be better prepared to provide continuous and comprehensive advanced nursing care to acutely ill adult-gerontology patients of multiple age groups, including young adults, older adults, and elderly, experiencing episodic illness, exacerbation of chronic illness, or terminal illness.
Family Nurse Practitioner
Norwich’s online Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner certificate helps nurses to better assess patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and initiate, and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and health promotion and prevention education and interventions.
Practitioner in Psychiatric Mental Health
The online Master of Science in Nursing-Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatric Mental Health advanced certificate can prepare nurses to provide care in the mental health field including assessment and diagnosis of mental health conditions, integration and implementation of care, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and related mental health treatments.
