Norwich’s Denver office, which opened in March 2020, serves as the western frontier for Norwich University in its third century of service to the nation. Norwich is excited to announce new Denver-related events, offerings, and openings in 2021.
Colorado Engagement and the Norwich Denver Office Soft Reopening
The Norwich Pro team and Norwich leadership participated in a series of events at the Denver office from July 20 to July 22, 2021, which served as the soft reopening of the facility since its pandemic-related closure in spring 2021.
Tuesday, July 20
Spearheaded by Norwich University President, Dr. Mark Anarumo, and the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) Dean William Clements, the week in Colorado began with a visit to corporate partner JMark Services, Inc. JMark Services, located in Colorado Springs, CO, focuses on providing Information Operations-related content and services primarily to Department of Defense aerospace and defense clients located throughout the region. JMark, in collaboration with Cognitive Technologies Transformation (CTx) Education Group and Norwich Pro, will be offering hosted content on the Norwich Pro platform to provide cutting-edge, online coursework in the field of Information Operations.
After the JMark visit, the leadership team visited the Catalyst Campus, an innovation center located in downtown Colorado Springs. This center is designed as an accelerator that brings academia, the corporate sector, and government organizations together in an agnostic environment to promote collaboration and cooperation between entities.
Wednesday, July 21
The Norwich Pro team, alumni, and trustees participated in a strategic planning conference held in Denver office. The meeting focused on ideating how to expand the Denver technology and education market through Norwich Pro’s robust online platform for both public and private sector organizations.
Thursday, July 22
After a year of limited operations due to the pandemic, the doors of Norwich University’s satellite site in Denver officially opened to community and business leaders in a ceremonial Open House. This event provided a venue for local partners to network with Norwich leadership, alumni, and trustees in attendance. It also offered an opportunity to showcase the university’s unique, collaborative space in Denver.
September Team Resilience Workshop Series for Leaders
In early September, the Norwich Pro team will host a series of resilience workshops for team leaders in partnership with the Leadership & Effective Strategies (LeTS) Group at the Norwich University Denver Office, and in Colorado Springs.
September 9 – 10, 2021
The first of three events in September is a two-day immersive symposium focused on building effective communication and resilience in high-performing teams operating in a VUCA environment. This event will provide attendees with personal insights regarding their mental toughness profile and then offer a guided learning journey into building effective team communication. The first symposium will be hosted at the Catalyst Campus in Colorado Springs and is co-sponsored by JMark Services with Norwich University.
September 11, 2021
The second, one-day seminar, which is being held on the anniversary of the 911 attacks in the U.S., will provide personal insights to attendees on their mental toughness profile and will be followed by a guided learning journey into building resilient teams to help people learn how to cope with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The second seminar will also be hosted at the Catalyst Campus in Colorado Springs.
September 13 – 14, 2021
The final event is a two-day symposium on building individual resilience and mental toughness in a business or organization. This symposium will be hosted at the Norwich Denver Office.
